1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the meanings set out below:
- "Codemuse" / "we" / "us" / "our" — Codemuse, an online school for AI development registered and operating in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia
- "Programme" — any of the structured learning courses offered by Codemuse, including the AI Foundations Programme, Machine Learning Engineering Track, and Advanced AI Development & Deployment Programme
- "Learner" / "you" — any individual who enquires about, enrols in, or participates in a Codemuse programme
- "Website" — the Codemuse website at https://codemueds.world and all associated pages
- "Content" — all materials provided as part of a programme, including session recordings, exercises, slides, and written resources
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions together with any enrolment confirmation issued by Codemuse
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry form, proceeding with enrolment, or accessing programme materials, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in a Codemuse programme. By proceeding with enrolment, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law.
3. Programme Description and Availability
Codemuse offers three structured online learning programmes in AI development, delivered through a combination of live online sessions, recorded content, practical exercises, and mentor feedback. Full details of each programme — including duration, content, entry requirements, and fees — are published on this website.
Programmes are open to learners based in Malaysia and internationally, subject to availability. Codemuse reserves the right to limit enrolment numbers, change programme schedules, or cancel a cohort where minimum enrolment numbers are not reached. In the event of a cancellation initiated by Codemuse, enrolled learners will receive a full refund of fees paid.
4. Enrolment and Account
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of payment and a written confirmation from Codemuse. You are responsible for providing accurate information during enrolment. Programme access credentials, where applicable, are personal and must not be shared with others.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login details provided to you. Codemuse is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised use of your account.
5. Learner Responsibilities
By enrolling, you agree to:
- Engage with programme content honestly and submit your own work for review
- Treat mentors, instructors, and other learners with respect in all interactions
- Not share, distribute, or reproduce programme content outside the learning environment without written permission from Codemuse
- Not use programme platforms or communications to promote unrelated services or products
- Notify Codemuse promptly if your contact details change during a programme
6. Intellectual Property
All programme content — including session recordings, written materials, exercises, and slide decks — is the intellectual property of Codemuse unless otherwise stated. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use this content for your own learning during and after the programme period.
You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from programme content without the prior written consent of Codemuse. Work you produce yourself during exercises or projects remains your own, though Codemuse may request permission to use anonymised examples for educational purposes.
7. Fees and Payment
Programme fees are published in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) on this website. All fees are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Fees must be paid in full prior to the start of a programme cohort, unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing with Codemuse.
Payment methods accepted include bank transfer and such other methods as may be advised at the time of enrolment. Codemuse will confirm receipt of payment in writing before granting programme access.
Refund policy: Requests for refunds submitted more than 7 days before the programme start date will be considered, and a refund of fees paid may be issued at the discretion of Codemuse, less any administrative costs incurred. No refunds are available for withdrawal requests submitted within 7 days of the programme start date or after the programme has commenced. Exceptions may be made in cases of genuine hardship or extenuating circumstances, at Codemuse's discretion.
8. Programme-Specific Terms
The following terms apply specifically to our learning programmes:
- Completion records are issued upon satisfactory completion of all required programme components, including project submissions
- Completion records reflect participation in the Codemuse programme and do not constitute a formal academic qualification or accredited certification
- Session recordings are made available to enrolled learners for the duration of the programme and for a period of 60 days thereafter
- Mentor feedback is provided on submitted work within 48 hours during active programme weeks; response times may vary during public holidays
- Codemuse reserves the right to remove a learner from a programme without refund where conduct is found to be disruptive, dishonest, or in breach of these terms
9. Disclaimers
Codemuse programmes are provided for educational purposes. We do not make representations about specific employment outcomes, salary changes, or career progression that may result from completing a programme. Individual results will vary depending on many factors beyond our control.
Programme content is provided in good faith and reviewed regularly, but we do not warrant that all information is current, complete, or free from error. The field of AI development changes rapidly; some material may become outdated between programme reviews.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Codemuse's total liability to any learner in connection with a programme shall not exceed the fees paid by that learner for the programme in question.
Codemuse shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of earnings, loss of data, or loss of opportunity, arising from participation in or withdrawal from a programme. This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by Codemuse.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Codemuse, its instructors, mentors, and staff from and against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms and Conditions, misuse of programme materials, or violation of any applicable law.
12. Termination
Codemuse may suspend or terminate your access to a programme without notice if you breach these Terms and Conditions. You may withdraw from a programme at any time by notifying us in writing, subject to the refund policy set out in section 7.
Sections 6 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 13 (Dispute Resolution) survive termination of this Agreement.
13. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with a Codemuse programme shall first be addressed through direct communication between the parties.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of written notice, either party may refer the matter to mediation under the Malaysian Mediation Act 2012 before pursuing formal legal action. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah shall have jurisdiction over any proceedings that proceed to litigation.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement — these Terms and Conditions, together with any enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Codemuse
- Severability — if any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
- Waiver — failure by either party to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it in future
- Assignment — you may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement to any third party without the prior written consent of Codemuse
15. Changes to These Terms
Codemuse may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For enrolled learners, material changes will be communicated by email. Continued participation in a programme after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
